The future of industry lies in lean management and process digitalization. Glaxo Smith Kline has understood this and has started to develop a new lean production sys- tem called GSK Production System (GPS), inspired by the well-known Toyota Production System (TPS), the first production system of its kind that appeared in the 1950s. How- ever, the adoption of such a new system by GSK employees does not happen overnight and requires a lot of effort from leaders and managers to spread this new culture of lean management and continuous improvement. During my internship, I had the opportunity to work for one of these managers whose mission is to develop this culture within his department. This thesis presents the essential elements to carry out this change while relying on a change management model, named ADKAR model (Awareness-Desire-Knowledge-Ability-Reinforcement), which will bring a structure to this change. At the end of this work, the results concerning the first aspects of the change will be analyzed along with recommendations to drive this change successfully in the future.
