(fre) Ce mémoire porte sur la traduction partielle et commentée de la deuxième édition du guide géologique du cratère météoritique Barringer (alias Meteor Crater) situé en Arizona. Le travail est divisé en trois parties : une introduction thématique suivie d'une introduction à la traduction, une traduction partielle, et des commentaires qui reprennent les difficultés de traduction les plus marquantes. L'introduction traite tout d'abord des astéroïdes, des comètes, des météores, des météoroïdes et des météorites. Elle aborde ensuite le thème des cratères d'impact. La question d'actualité des objets géocroiseurs vient conclure cette introduction. Elle est directement suivie par l'introduction à la traduction. Les sept chapitres (1, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 , et 13) qui, selon moi, décrivent le mieux le cratère et le projectile ont été traduits. Le premier chapitre fournit un cadre historique qui s'avère nécessaire pour mieux situer le contexte. Le deuxième chapitre décrit principalement le cratère. Le troisième chapitre se concentre sur les caractéristiques du projectile. Le quatrième chapitre donne des détails sur la trajectoire du projectile. Le cinquième chapitre aborde l'énergie libérée par l'impact. Le sixième chapitre traite de l'âge du cratère. Le septième chapitre porte sur les conséquences environnementales de l'impact. Les commentaires mettent en évidence les difficultés les plus importantes auxquelles j'ai été confrontées. Je tente d'y répondre grâce aux commentaires d'experts et aux explications de l'auteur. Ce mémoire se termine par une brève conclusion générale.

(eng) This thesis deals with the partial commented translation of the Guidebook to the Geology of Barringer Meteorite Crater, Arizona (a.k.a. Meteor Crater), Second Edition. The work is divided into three sections: a thematic introduction followed by an introduction to the translation, a partial translation, and commentaries on the most significant translation difficulties. Firstly, asteroids, comets, meteors, meteoroids, and meteorites are discussed. Then the focus is put on impact craters. This introduction ends with the emerging issue of near-Earth objects (NEOs). It is directly followed by the introduction to the translation. The seven chapters (1, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13) that, according to me, best portray the crater and the projectile have been translated. The first chapter provides an historical background which proves to be necessary to better set the context. The second chapter mainly relates to the crater. The third chapter describes the main characteristics of the projectile. The fourth chapter gives details about the trajectory of the projectile. The fifth chapter deals with the energy of impact. The sixth chapter focuses on the age of the crater. The seventh chapter covers the environmental effects of the impact. The commentaries highlight the most important translation difficulties I have faced. I attempt to resolve these ones through the commentaries of experts and the explanations of the author. This thesis ends with a brief general conclusion.
