The present work aims at investigating the capabilities of EU institutions in making European football governing body comply to EU Law by using a tailored strategy composed by enforcement and management approaches. The chose case studies are the Bosman judgment, that paved the way to the liberalization of football players’ market, and UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations, which were put in place in order to make football a sustainable business for teams and national federations. By nalyzing those two examples, the work shows that the starting hypothesis holds true, which means that the aforementioned tailored strategy is the best remedy for obtaining UEFA’s compliance with EU Law.
