Magnetic gears have experienced growing investigation by the scientific community for the recent decades. Indeed, the coaxial magnetic gears represent a serious alternative for the present conventional mechanical gears. The performances of coaxial magnetic gears, in term of torque density capability, has effectively reached the scale of the mechanical counterpart. Furthermore, they possess some additional features, that might be of great interest for several applications. Indeed, the torque transmission is now made possible using contactless rotors since the torque is now transmitted using magnetism laws. In the actual state of the researches, many of the engineers that worked on magnetic gears mentioned the importance of the structural resistance of the ferromagnetic pole pieces. However, very few tried to bring an answer.
