This work is devoted to the solvability of equations of the form /b Lu/+/b Nu/=0 in a real Hilbert space /b H/. The kernel, Ker /b L/, of the linear operator /b L/: /b D/(/b L/) sub /b H / rarr /b H/ may be infinite dimensional and the range of /b L/, /b R/(/b L/), is such that /b R/(/b L/)=Ker /b L //sup perp /.
