The "Commentaire" of Stephanos of Alexandria is the first byzantine treatise of astronomy, written in 618/619 AD in Constantinople.
At first, we study the text's characteristics and the author's issue. Then, we analyse the manuscript's tradition of the treatise (16 manuscripts) in order to establish the "stemma codicum" and the text story. The last part of the thesis is a critical edition of the 13 first chapters of the "Commentaire" with a annotated translation.
