Corrections from in-flight annihilations of positrons in the beta detector are shown to possibly change the experimental slope of the /sup 12/N positron energy spectrum from (-0.17+/-0.06)%/MeV to about -0.35% MeV, which decreases the contradiction with the conserved vector current predicted value of (-0.52+/-0.02)%/MeV.
