Refinement and Extension of the Table of Standard Energies for Bonds Involving Hydrogen and Various Atoms of Group-iv To Group-vii of Periodic-table

We calculated a large variety of standard bond energies using either theoretical or experimental enthalpies of atomization. The procedure for estimating the energies of bonds containing a trigonal atom was refined and the table extended to a series of new terms involving sulphur and phosphorus atoms. A brief survey of interesting applications of standard bond energies was also made.
