Bone, E.
This is a succinct overview of bioethical thinking at the dawn of the 21st century; the present-day extent of research, the institutional networks (national committees, authorities regulating professional bodies, international organizations), training and teaching structures, periodicals and newspapers ... Bioethics benefits today from a wide consensus of opinion concerning a series of values. The author concentrates on defining their limits and on explaining the reasons for the undeniable pluralism which still characterizes thinking in this field. Finally, he underlines the contribution which is expected from Catholic universities.
