Hayez, Jean-Yves
[UCL]
The author evaluates the evolution of the functioning of child and adolescent psychiatry for the past thirty years. At first, he evokes new facts in the community, as an interveners' confusion or the needs of objectivity and rapid results demanded by the family. Afterwards, he analyses the evolution of the requiers and those of the psychosocial teams' composition. Then the author notes that a bio-psychosocial pattern of health and illness is more effective and leads to a few modifications of the practices, for example about medication. At least, he evokes some values underlying to the practice and remaining stable.
