In an aging society where warnings of impending labour and skill shortages have been made, older workers` learning is increasingly important. If older workers do not learn, their knowledge and skills can become obsolete. Consequently, these workers are most likely to leave the labour market. The purpose of this project is to characterize the self-set goals of older workers from various occupations and to examine which personal and contextual factors help older workers to commit in work-related learning goals, and whether such a commitment in work-related learning goals is positively related to learning outcomes such as work performance and employability.
