A physical-statistical channel model of macro- and megacellular terrestrial networks and its application to polarization multiplexing

This communication describes a physically oriented statistical approach that predicts narrowband fading statistics for macro- and megacellular metropolitan networks. The model is successfully compared with experimental data at 1.6 GHz and applied to several simulation schemes including polarization multiplexing.
