For pt.I see ibid., p.1-7. The linear circuit theory of sliding contacts yields good results in describing three-phase bridge rectification. For the half-wave rectifier the linear approximation is shown to be objectionable. In order to improve accuracy, this paper presents corrected dynamic equations which take into account the small number of phases and simultaneous conduction of phases. Those corrections are expressed as a series development, which allows accuracy to be fixed by choosing the number of terms of the series. Calculations have been carried out for the three first terms. Application to a practical example shows the excellent result that can be obtained at this level, as well for the half-wave as for the bridge circuit.
