The paramagnetic induced /sup 1/H shifts are accounted for by a simple time averaged point dipolar field. It is concluded that contributions from covalent bonding, g-anisotropy and exchange interactions are relatively unimportant at room temperature. The occupation of two possible octahedral sites by Fe/sup 2+/ ions is discussed.
