New algorithms for the iterative refinement of estimates of invariant subspaces

New methods for refining estimates of invariant subspaces of a non-symmetric matrix are presented. We use global analysis to show local quadratic convergence of our method under mild conditions on the spectrum of the matrix. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
