The focus of this research paper will be on digital companies in the Health Tech sector that consider and implement market expansions in foreign markets. The main hypothesis encompassing this paper is the following: Is the market of the United States of America a must go to market to be a relevant player in the Health Tech sector? A theoretical approach regarding the internationalization process will be developed. This process will follow 4 different steps: Why internationalizing, When to do so, Where to expand towards, and How would to enter the market. Once a global overview of all the different possible actors regarding market expansion are given, we will dig into the practical case of a well-suited company. To have a broader idea of its evolution and to prove or refute the main hypothesis this company will be compared with a further developed company, active in a comparable sector.
