This work addresses the analysis of wind effects on tall buildings. Some key considerations about the wind movement in the atmospheric boundary layer are established, as well as the wind interaction with structures according to Eurocode (2010). Two diferentes wind loads are considered: the one calculated using the Eurocode (2010) and a second one considering a constant wind load with magnitude equal to the weighted average of the load calculated before. In relation to the modeling, in addition to the classical finite element model, a modeling based on a differential formulation is presented, resulting in a system of three equations, which were solved numerically. The differential equations of the vertical elements are coupled considering the floor slabs. Two models are analysed: the first one considering only the axial force due to the slab’s stiffness and the second one considers the flexural contribution of the floor, therefore, its rotation and vertical displacement.
