The upcoming increase in demand for electric buses is confirmed by the fact-finding study carried out for the European Commission in 2021 on status and future needs regarding low- and zero-emission urban mobility [1]. The main objective of this work is to validate an energy consumption prediction model for electric buses. This machine leearning model is trained using data gather from the raw data of an electric bus operated line of the STIB. Different models are trained and a performance comparison is made. The best-fitting model is then used under different temperature conditions to predict the energy demand.
