The aim of this paper is to highlight the potential of Internet access and, generally speaking, the importance of Digital Economy in Sub-Saharan Africa. Due to the delay in the deployment of the necessary equipment for Internet transmission on the African continent, this region’s Digital Economy development was delayed as well. The paper shows the state of Digital development of Sub-Saharan countries, the efforts deployed in order to enhance this sector, and the significant contribution it has in that region. The study consists in analyzing the most prominent concerns that Sub-Saharan Africans have and explains how Digital Economy is a solution to these issues.
