This report is concerned with the problem of meshing an entire wind turbine from a 3D model of the latter. Especially, the meshing of the blades is maid possible by the use of a morphing software that allows the transformation of simple geometries into more complex shapes. However, that software requires to simplify the 3D model and to store the corresponding data in specific structures that will be presented in this report. The problem of meshing complex shapes is subject to restrictions concerning the regularity of the mesh. For that reason, some mesh manipulations are developed as part of the mesh size factor homogenization. The resulting mesh is then valid for further mesh-based computations and hence, is used for calculating the near-field radar cross-section of the corresponding wind turbine. The computational results emphasize the strong dependence of the near-field radar cross-section on the distance from the wind turbine.
