Driven by environmental concerns, the demand for remanufactured goods is increasing every day. The market for remanufactured automotive parts expands continuously. Borg Automotive and its Belgian subordinary are one of Europe's largest automotive remanufacturers. As in every other industry, they are continually reaching for higher quality standards. In particular, they asked for the design of an efficient multi-fault diagnosis procedure for rolling element bearings in the remanufactured electrical power steering columns. This thesis depicts the complete study and design process to state about the feasibility of the design. By the end of the thesis, it is confirmed that the detection procedure is realizable and a classification technique is implemented, showing the encouraging result of 88.8% success rate. Recommendations and prospects are finally given to guide the following of the design, and the remaining challenges are listed.
