Subtitling of an abridged series : Dragon Ball Z Abridged

(fre) Ce mémoire consiste en une traduction et un sous-titrage de la série abrégée "Dragon Ball Z Abridged", créée par la Team Four Star. Ce travail commence par une introduction dans laquelle je développe et explique l'histoire du genre qu'est la série abrégée et dans laquelle je compare deux grands noms de l'univers des séries abrégées : Eric Fensler et Marc Billany. Je les compare également avec la Team Four Star. La seconde partie est la traduction des douze épisodes qui forment la première saison de Dragon Ball Z Abridged. J'ai donc réparti les données en douze tableaux chacun formé de cinq colonnes: le numéro du sous-titre, le time-code IN, le time-code OUT, le texte source et enfin ma traduction. Vient alors la troisième et dernière partie, les commentaires de traduction, qui consiste en de nombreuses explications par rapport aux difficultés rencontrées durant ma traduction. J'ai inclus, après ma bibliographie, la partie "annexes" qui contient le script anglais de la série abrégée.

(eng) This final paper consists in the translation and subtitling of the abridged-series: Dragon Ball Z Abridged, created by Team Four Star. The thesis starts with an introduction in which I develop and explain the history of this particular genre and in which I also compare two abridged-series makers: Eric Fensler and Martin Billany. I also compare these two with the directors of Dragon Ball Z Abridged. The second part is the translation of the twelve episodes which form the first season of Dragon Ball Z Abridged. Therefore, I included twelve tables, each one formed with five columns: the number of the subtitle, the timecode IN, the timecode OUT, the source text and the French translation. It is followed by the third and last part of the final paper, the commentaries, which consists in some explanations about the difficulties I encountered during the translation. At the end of the document, after the bibliography, I included the annex which are composed of the original script.
