Du manuscrit à l'imprimé : édition critique de cinq nouvelles du Decameron de Boccace publié par Antoine Vérard sur base de la traduction française de Laurent de Premierfait

(fre) Le présent mémoire comprend deux grands volets : d’une part, l’édition critique de cinq nouvelles du Livre des Cent Nouvelles, c’est-à-dire la version du Decameron de Boccace publiée par Antoine Vérard en 1485 au départ de la traduction française réalisée par Laurent de Premierfait en 1414 ; d’autre part, l’étude du contexte, au sens large du terme, dans lequel est apparue cette édition imprimée. L’objectif est de comprendre comment s’est opéré, à la fin du XVe siècle en France, le passage du manuscrit à l’imprimé. Après une étude de l’apparition de l’imprimerie d’un point de vue historique, culturel, économique, technique et social, nous nous sommes intéressée au travail d’éditeur d’Antoine Vérard. S’en suit une interrogation sur la notion d’auctorialité et l’impact qu’a eu sur elle l’imprimerie, ainsi que l’étude de la réception du Decameron de Boccace en France au XVe siècle. L’édition critique prend place à la fin du travail, avec des notes critiques, un glossaire et un index des noms propres.

(eng) This paper is composed of two major parts : on one hand, the critical edition of five short stories from the Livre des Cent Nouvelles, which is the version of the Decameron published by Antoine Vérard in 1485 from the french translation of Laurent de Premierfait in 1414 ; on the other hand, the study of the context in which the printed edition appeared. The objective is to understand how the transition from manuscript to printed documents took place in France at the end of the 15th century. After studying the appearance of the printing press from a historical, cultural, economic, technical and social point of view, we took interest in the work of Antoine Vérard. From this study, questions about auctoriality and the impact that the printed edition had upon it emerged, as well as the study of the reception of the book of Boccace in France in the 15th century, the Decameron. The critical edition takes place at the end of this dissertation with critical notes, a glossary and an index of proper names.
