Thanks to the extraction and use of the fossil fuels, our Humanity has never experienced such a high comfort level. However, our consumerist lifestyle is not without consequences and we undoubtedly exhaust the resources of our planet. The world of today seems to reach the limits of its model. Consequently, more and more people have raised their voice for a new vision of the Economy, bringing positive social and environmental impacts. Among them, young people, positive and confident generation, will be the one leading the world of tomorrow, a world to reinvent. Numerous new economy models have emerged: Circular Economy, Fair trade, Green Economy… which have evolved and have various specific approaches. These concepts are some of the alternatives covered by the Positive Economy, related to Corporate Social Responsibility and the Sustainable Development. According to Attali, this new concept is about activities from all entities producing goods and services, from the profit and non-profit sector, private or public, wishing to be useful for next generations. This thesis has as goal to realize a critical analysis on the academic and practical use of the concept of the Positive Economy concept as a generic term for the emerging concepts having positive impacts on the environment and/or on the society. As young people are a key element for the future vision of our economy, a focus was made on understanding this generation, its interest in the matter, and the integration of the Positive Economy in the Educative System. A special Case Study was developed in a Tourism School in Brussels. Tourism was indeed chosen for the practical part of this thesis. The theoretical framework of the Positive Economy developed in the first part of this thesis was applied to this sector studied on a local and international basis in order to understand its position to sustainability.
